“I just want to be toned, not bulky.” Ladies, cut the shit. We’re putting this out there so you can finally take the words “toned” and “bulky” out of your vocabulary. The amount of dedication you need to put forward to have a large amount of lean muscle mass is something that most of you aren’t willing to put forward even if you had that goal in mind. Building muscles is hard work. It takes consistency, sacrifice, and effort. Our female clients that have muscle gain + weight gain as their goals cannot believe how much food they have to eat to put on mass. They are often shocked at how much attention is needed to lifting heavier, and training more often. So... unless you want to eat 3000+ calories a day, train hard and lift heavy 8+ hours per week, or change your hormones— I wouldn’t worry about getting “too bulky”. Lifting heavy weights stimulates a variety of positive, physical, and psychological changes in the body. Women shouldn’t miss out in these benefits for the fear of looking too muscular. Are you really afraid of getting too muscular, or just afraid of getting out of your comfort zone and lifting weights for the first time in your life? Send this to someone who thinks they’re going to “get bulky” by simply putting a barbell in their hands 👊🏼
TRUTH BOMB #7: Stop worrying about getting bulky, you don't work hard enough.
