Why host a seminar or workshop?
Seminars and Workshops are a great way to not only add value to your current members/clients, but it is also a great way to drive new traffic into your space. We offer two different styles for you to choose from based off of your current clientele, our Functional Nutrition Seminar, and our Mindful Eating Workshop.
Please note that we are located in the DE/PA/NJ area. If you are outside of this area and want us to come host a seminar or workshop, there may be an additional charge necessary for travel.
Functional Nutrition Seminar

Our Functional Nutrition Seminar is intended for anyone who wants to learn about the basics of nutrition. This seminar is great for gyms and studios that have members with serious health and fitness goals.
This is a 90 minute seminar.
We believe that there is no magic pill, shake or diet 'program' to cover the enormous variations in human genetics, environment, or lifestyle. There is a mindset, a shift in approach, however that can help you find your way to the nutritional health that is right for you. This seminar breaks down the 'mystery' behind the nutrition industry and introduces the approach to building a sustainable, lifelong foundation and feel your best by feeding not only your physical body, but your energetic and emotional body as well. We discuss the major components of eating in alignment with your goals, and the main focus being your mental and physical health. Members will walk away with peace of mind knowing there is no quick fix, they can enjoy eating out with friends while still making serious strides towards their goals, and they will leave having a better understanding of why they are not losing weight or seeing changes.
Mindful Eating Workshop

This workshop is intended for gyms and studios where mindfulness is a key component to success. It is a great workshop to host if your clientele is resistant to changing their diet, has a tendency to eat their emotions, or wants to learn better eating habits. This workshop does not include basic nutrition information or diet suggestions. This workshop is not intended for people who have specific goals with their body.
This is a 90 minute workshop.
In this workshop you will learn a variety of mindfulness techniques including eating exercises, verbiage around food and ourselves, and guided meditations that help get to the heart of physical and emotional eating challenges. You will learn how to use your body’s cues to help guide your decisions to begin and stop eating, and ultimately how to eat the foods you like without guilt and without overeating. By learning how to replace self-criticism with self-nurturing, you will gain freedom from worries about food, eating, and weight. We provide light appetizers and drinks, as we take your members and clients through several exercises while they eat.
About Katie, the owner of Functional Nutrition Fitness: Through her yoga teacher training, Katie found that a lot of her emotions and addictive behaviors were attached to food. She has a passion for cooking, trying all different foods, and doesn’t believe in cutting out foods or restricting ourselves from the enjoyment and bonding we can experience with food. Katie became passionate about Mindful Eating, and moved on to become certified in nutrition, spreading the message that until we fix what is going on in our head-- we will not make long lasting progress fixing what is on our plates. Katie is the one who will lead the Mindful Eating Workshop.
